The wood-fired shepherd's hut sauna with its chimney, set among trees

For men · The Bisley Yurt, Surrey

Men's Fire & Ice

Wood-fired heat, cold water and steady breath. One morning to switch off, test yourself and reset, alongside other men doing the same.

  • Saturday 3 October 2026
  • 10am to 1pm
  • Bisley, Woking GU24 9AR

Early bird £15 until Friday 26 September. Limited spaces.

Heat. Cold. Breath. Repeat.

The sauna is a hand-built shepherd's hut, heated by a wood-burning stove. The plunge is cold. Between the two you'll learn to control your breathing, calm your nervous system and stay in the cold longer than you thought you could.

No experience needed and nothing to prove. Just turn up, do the rounds and leave feeling sharper than when you arrived.

  1. Arrival and orientation Meet the group, get changed and walk through how the morning works and how to stay safe in the heat and cold.
  2. Tea and refreshments A hot drink and something to eat before you start.
  3. Sauna and cold plunge Rounds in the wood-fired hut, then the cold plunge, then rest. Go at your own pace.
  4. Breathwork and guided meditation Guided breathing to settle the body, then a quiet close to the morning.

Book early. Bring a mate.

All tickets are sold through Eventbrite. Spaces are limited by the size of the hut.

Common questions.

I've never done a cold plunge. Is this for me?

Yes. Most people start as beginners. You'll be shown how to breathe through the cold and you decide how long to stay in. Nobody is pushed further than they want to go.

How does the group price work?

If you book 2 or more places in one order, each place costs £20. While early bird tickets are still available, £15 each is the cheaper option, including for groups.

Can I just turn up on the day?

If there are spaces left, yes, at £25. The hut has limited room, so we can't promise space on the day. Book in advance to be sure.

What if it rains?

We go ahead in any weather. The sauna is warmer on a cold, wet morning.

Why men only?

Some men find it easier to switch off and push themselves in a room of other men. That's who this morning is for. Other events at the farm will be open to everyone. Join the list below to hear about them.
